Check a printer's status

You can easily determine whether a printer is available for printing, is currently in use, and more.

  1. Click Printer Manager.
 
  1. In the printers list, click the printer you want.
 
  1. In the Details tab, review the information displayed.

Problem icon

This indicates that there is a problem with the printer.

One situation where this appears is that the computer you are using does not have the driver installed to use the printer. For more information, see Printer drivers.
